I have redesigned, relaunched, conceptualized, and developed newspaper features sections, weekly tabloids, magazines, and multi-media platforms. My strength is in developing editorial strategy, executing and adjusting in realtime, and building teams that ensure sustainable excellence for new and newly launched publications.
Edible San diego/ ediblesandiego.com (re-design & Launch)
In six months, I developed and implemented a complete re-design of the website and digital program for EdibleSanDiego.com resulting in a 200% increase in readership. Over the year that followed, I went on to develop an entirely new lineup of local writers and photographers, launch video and podcast channels. After two and a half years, the traffic to the website has grown by 950%.
Transforming Edible San Diego
When I initially strategized, redesigned, and relaunched the website in January 2018, there was an immediate 151% jump in traffic from 4,865 to 12,212 new viewers.
Over the two years that followed, I cultivated diverse voices through an entirely lineup of writers for both the website and the print magazine, I produced and launched a recipe video series, and oversaw the development of a consistent social media presence, which resulted in steady growth on all platforms, most notably, an increase in Instagram followers of over 28k followers, from 4083 followers in 2018 to 32,700 in 2020.
In 2019, Edible San Diego earned it’s first ever San Diego Press Club awards, taking home 11 awards for stories, visuals, website, and video.
Through the reimagining of ESD as more than a local print magazine, the publication is now designed to reach San Diegans through print, social media, video, podcast, events, and a website that draws over 32,000 readers each month.

Property Times & T100 (New Product development)
While at Muscat Media Group, I worked to develop and produce the first bi-lingual property listing supplement in Oman. The twice-monthly publication became one of the most profitable supplements in the Muscat Media Group portfolio. I also launched the T100, a quarterly lifestyle magazine that was easily produceable by a small team to cover a variety of editorial or industry-specific topics. The subsequent issues were single-handedly produced by a two person team including one of my associate editors and one designer.
Hi Weekly (re-design)
Transformed a weekly tabloid in Muscat, Oman from an unprofitable publication into an award-winning, revenue-generating lifestyle weekly. This redevelopment of Hi Weekly went beyond a change in design and included re-staffing, staff training, and interdepartmental team building. The new publication was a transition from what was essentially a vehicle for advertising that was 90% syndicated content to a vibrant local publication filled with local reporting, photography, illustration, and digital video.
