Felicia has a wide range of editorial experience from copy editing English translations to editing and developing front-of-book, back-of-book, and feature length magazine articles. She was the travel editor for Saveur magazine. She now oversees the current weekly magazine titles and develops new editorial projects as the executive features editor of the Times of Oman.
Felicia is an award-nominated writer who has contributed features to American and international magazines such as Saudi Aramco World, Saveur, Departures, Y Magazine, and Fodor's. She has published peer-reviewed academic work and is the author of The Food of Oman: Recipes and Stories from the Gateway to Arabia (Andrews McMeel, 2015).
Felicia was the research chief at Saveur magazine, conducting initial location research and production for international travel features. She was also responsible for managing a team of freelance fact-checkers to ensure the accuracy of each issue. Previous research experience ranged from designing a research program to track hospital efficiency at the Manhattan VAMC to conducting graduate field work in culinary anthropology at New York University.
Felicia has presented at academic conferences, public relations summits, as a judge for culinary competitions, in instructional cooking videos, and on the radio. She has also written speeches and scripts for live television and panel discussions.
Felicia has been responsible for styling photo shoots in studio and on location as well as providing creative direction for magazine page layouts, book layouts, and web design.
